Expeditions: Rome is a tactical role-playing game set in ancient Rome, following a legatus leading troops through political intrigue and turn-based battles across the classical world. Choices in dialogue and strategy shape both the story and the makeup of the player's legion.

Combat rewards careful positioning and squad composition, while the surrounding narrative explores Roman politics and warfare, giving the historical setting real weight alongside the tactical gameplay.
