The Forest is a survival horror game that strands you on a remote, densely wooded island after a plane crash, forcing you to build shelter, craft tools, and gather food while a cannibalistic tribe stalks the woods. Days are spent scavenging and building; nights bring constant threat.

A branching cave system beneath the island hides deeper mysteries and greater dangers, rewarding careful exploration. Its blend of base-building survival and creeping horror has made it a genre favorite for tense, self-directed play.
