Call of Duty WWII brings the series back to its World War II origins with a grounded, boots-on-the-ground campaign following a squad through key battles of the European theater. Its multiplayer and cooperative Nazi zombies mode round out a package built around classic military shooter fundamentals.

The return to traditional weaponry and historical setting marks a deliberate step back from the futuristic direction of prior entries. Fans of classic WWII shooters will find a faithful, well-crafted return to form.
