Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 continues the compilation of the story-driven X series, covering later entries in the reploid hero X's fight against rogue mavericks. It preserves the series' faster movement and wall-jump platforming mechanics.

Players platform through more advanced stages, collect new armor upgrades, and battle additional Maverick bosses introduced in these later games. It's aimed at fans continuing the X series after the first collection.
