How to Redeem a PlayStation Store Code on PS5, PS4, Web, or App

July 25, 2026 · News

A PlayStation Store voucher can add a game, downloadable content, a subscription, in-game items, or wallet funds to a PlayStation account. Standard PlayStation Store voucher codes contain 12 digits and can normally be redeemed only once. After redemption, the content or credit belongs to that account and cannot be transferred to another one.

You can redeem a code on the PlayStation Store website, a PS5 or PS4 console, or PlayStation App. The best method is simply the one where you can most easily verify the account and enter the code without mistakes.

Check these details before redemption

  • Account: confirm the sign-in ID and online ID. If several accounts use the same console, do not rely on the last profile that happened to be open.
  • Region: the voucher region must match the country or region of the PlayStation account. The console’s physical location does not change the account region.
  • Product: check whether the code is a full game, DLC, PlayStation Plus, wallet top-up, or in-game content. DLC must match the region and edition of the base game.
  • Code length: a PlayStation Store voucher uses 12 digits. A 10-digit code is generally a discount code applied during checkout, not a content voucher.

Redeem a PlayStation code online

  1. Open PlayStation Store and sign in.
  2. Select your profile at the top of the page.
  3. Choose Redeem Code from the menu.
  4. Enter the 12-digit voucher code and select Continue.
  5. Review the content or credit shown and confirm it for the current account.

This is a convenient option when you do not have the console nearby. Once the voucher is attached to your account, you can download the game later from your Game Library. Check that the address belongs to playstation.com before entering account details or a voucher.

Redeem a code on PS5

  1. Open PlayStation Store.
  2. Press the triangle button to open the menu.
  3. Select … (More) → Redeem Code.
  4. Enter the 12-digit code and select Redeem.
  5. Select Download if the item requires a download, or download it later from your library.

You can also redeem a voucher during PlayStation Store checkout by choosing Redeem Codes and Gift Cards from the payment method menu.

Redeem a code on PS4

  1. Open PlayStation Store.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and select Redeem Codes.
  3. Enter the 12-digit code.
  4. Select Continue, then Confirm or Yes.
  5. Select Continue → Download if a download is available.

Redeem through PlayStation App

  1. Open PlayStation App and select the PS Store icon.
  2. Open the menu on the right side of the screen.
  3. Select Redeem Code.
  4. Enter the 12-digit code, select Continue, and review the result.

Where the redeemed content appears

A full game is available in your Game Library after successful redemption. DLC and season-pass content belongs to the base game and may not receive its own home-screen tile. Open the game’s product page or manage its add-ons to check installation. Some in-game currency, consumables, and skins appear only after you launch the game, while others require a small download.

If redeemed content is missing, Sony recommends restarting the console and signing out of PlayStation, then signing back in with the account that redeemed the voucher. Also verify that the base game and add-on are from compatible regions.

Common PlayStation voucher problems

The voucher region does not match the account

PlayStation requires a voucher to be for the same region as the account. Account regions cannot be freely changed after creation, and funds or content cannot be transferred between accounts. Do not create a misleading account location or use location-masking tools to work around a restriction. If the retailer listed your country as supported and the code does not match it, contact the retailer.

The code has already been used

PlayStation vouchers are single-use. Check the account’s transaction history; redeemed vouchers appear in the transaction details. Make sure another household account did not redeem it first. If the history does not explain the error, save a screenshot and contact the seller.

The code is invalid

Confirm that you entered all 12 digits and did not confuse a voucher with a 10-digit discount code. Copy the code without extra spaces. If it is still rejected, do not post the full code online or send it to someone who offers to test it. Contact the retailer with the exact error message.

A subscription voucher asks for a payment method

Sony notes that some subscription vouchers require a valid payment method on the account. Read the confirmation screen for renewal terms before accepting. For a child account, age ratings and parental controls can limit PlayStation Plus benefits; wallet top-up vouchers need to be redeemed by the family manager, who can set a spending limit.

If your voucher came from KEY4GAMES

KEY4GAMES currently arranges payment by bank transfer or directly with our manager. A manager confirms the payment before the key is issued, which means delivery is not instant. If you order a pre-release product, the key is issued at release rather than immediately after payment.

If PlayStation rejects a voucher, email orders@key4games.com with the order number, the country or region of your PlayStation account, the device used, and a screenshot of the complete error while hiding most of the code. A voucher that is faulty, already used, or region-locked contrary to its listing is replaced under our Refund Policy, or refunded when no replacement is available.
