How to Buy
This page describes ordering exactly as it works today, including the parts that are still manual. Payment on KEY4GAMES is arranged with a manager — there is no card or wallet checkout yet — so an order takes a little longer than a fully automated shop, and it is better that you know that before you start than after.
Before you buy: a four-point check
Almost every unusable key was bought for the wrong platform or the wrong region. Both are printed on the product page. Check them first.
- Platform. A Steam key works only on Steam, an Xbox code only on Xbox, and so on. The platform is shown on the product card and again at the top of the product page.
- Region. Some products are Global and activate anywhere; others are limited to a region or a single country. If the region is not Global, make sure it matches the country of your platform account.
- What the product actually is. Read the title and description to see whether you are buying a base game, an edition that includes extra content, a DLC or add-on that needs the base game, or a gift card or top-up. A DLC will not install on its own.
- The seller. Offers come from sellers on our supplier network. The product page shows the seller’s name, rating and number of completed orders — worth a glance when you compare two similar listings.
Step 1 — Find the product
Use the search box in the header for a specific title, or open the catalog and narrow it down with the filters: platform, region, category and price. More than 31,000 products are listed, so a filter or two saves a lot of scrolling. Prices are charged in euro; the EUR / USD / UAH switch in the header changes the display only.
Step 2 — Open the product page and check it
The product page repeats the platform, the region and the price, shows whether the item is in stock, and carries a description and a How to activate tab for that specific product. Run through the four-point check above before you go further.
Step 3 — Add to cart
Choose the quantity and add the item to your cart. You can keep adding products; the cart holds them until you check out. Prices are re-checked against our supplier when you add an item and again at checkout, so the total you confirm is the current one.
Step 4 — Check out
Because every product is a digital code, checkout is short. You are asked for:
- your first name and last name;
- your email address — this is where the key is sent, so check it character by character;
- an optional order note, if you want to tell the manager something.
There is no postal address, no city and no postcode, because nothing is shipped. You do not need to register: checkout works as a guest, and there is no customer account to create today.
Step 5 — Choose how you will pay
Two payment options are available at the moment. Both are arranged with one of our managers.
- Bank transfer / Manager contact — you place the order and a manager emails you the details needed to make the transfer.
- Agree payment with manager — choose this if you would rather settle on a method individually. A manager contacts you by email after the order is placed.
Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto payments are not available yet. If you see those logos elsewhere on the internet next to our name, they are not ours.
Step 6 — Place the order
When you confirm, the order is created and placed On hold, which simply means “received, waiting for payment”. You will get an email with the subject Order #… received — awaiting your payment. Save the confirmation page that opens after checkout — its link stays valid and is where your key will appear.
Step 7 — A manager confirms your payment
This is the manual part. Once you have paid and the manager has confirmed the payment on our side, the order moves on and you receive a second email: Payment confirmed for order #… — preparing your key. How long this takes depends on the payment method and on when you send it; a bank transfer is not instant even when everyone acts quickly.
Step 8 — Your key is issued automatically
From the moment payment is confirmed, nothing is typed by hand. The key is bought from the supplier and issued automatically, and arrives in an email with the subject Your key is ready — order #…. The same key is shown in your order details on the confirmation page from step 6. Some products are delivered as an image of the code rather than as text; in that case the key is on the order page, so keep that link.
Then follow the Activation Guide for your platform, or the How to activate tab on the product page.
If something stalls
- No first email after checkout. Check the spam and promotions folders. If it is not there, the address may have a typo — write to us with your name and the approximate time of the order.
- Nobody has contacted you about payment. Send us the order number and say which payment option you picked.
- You have paid but the order is still On hold. The payment has not been matched to your order yet. Send the order number and proof of the transfer, and we will chase it.
- Payment confirmed but no key. Check the order page from step 6 first, then the spam folder, then write to us — the order is recorded on our side either way, and a paid order that produced no key gets a key or a refund.
All of that goes to the address on the Contact page. Always quote the order number: it is the fastest way to find you.
