FAQ
Short answers about buying, paying, receiving and activating keys. Where an answer depends on a rule, it links to the page that states the rule — nothing here contradicts our Terms of Use or Refund Policy.
Products and sellers
Are the keys genuine, and where do they come from?
Yes — every product is a real activation code redeemed on the platform’s own service, not a modified account or shared login. KEY4GAMES is the seller. We source the code through our contracted supplier after payment is confirmed, and we remain responsible for delivery, support, replacement or refund. Nothing is generated by us.
What exactly am I buying — a key, a gift card or a top-up?
It depends on the listing, and the product page says which. Most items are activation keys for a game or an add-on. The catalogue also includes gift cards and subscription codes for services such as Amazon, Apple, Google Play, Netflix and Spotify, which are redeemed inside those services rather than on a game platform. Check the title and description so you do not buy a DLC when you wanted the base game.
How do I know a product will work on my platform?
Every product card and product page states the platform — Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Ubisoft Connect, EA, GOG, Epic Games and others. A code is issued for one platform and cannot be moved to another, so match it to where you actually play before ordering. You can also filter the catalog by platform.
What does the region on a product mean?
Global means no geographic restriction. Any other region — Europe, United States, Turkey and so on — means the code is expected to be redeemed on an account registered in that region, and the platform may refuse it otherwise. The region is shown before you buy, and the Activation Guide explains what to check. If you are unsure whether a region suits you, ask us before ordering: a code rejected for the wrong region usually cannot be exchanged.
Paying
How can I pay?
The methods available for your order are shown at checkout. Card, bank redirect, wallet, cryptocurrency and other local methods are handled on PayOp’s secure hosted payment page; availability can depend on your country, currency and the provider’s rules.
Which currency am I charged in?
You choose from EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, PLN, NOK, DKK, SEK or CZK. The currency shown on the product page is carried through the cart, checkout and order, so the order is charged in the same currency you selected.
Is my payment data safe?
Online payment is completed on PayOp’s hosted page. KEY4GAMES does not receive or store your full card number or security code. We will never ask you to send a card number, card security code or account password by email or chat. If a message claiming to be from us asks for those, do not reply and tell us about it.
Can I cancel before I pay?
Yes. An order that is still waiting for payment has cost you nothing and no key has been issued. Reply to the order email or write to us with the order number and we will close it.
Delivery
How fast is delivery, really?
Issuing the key starts automatically after a successful payment confirmation. An online payment is confirmed by the payment provider. We do not promise a fixed number of minutes because provider checks are outside our control. A confirmed payment always produces a key or a refund.
Where does my key arrive?
In an email with the subject Your key is ready, sent to the address you entered at checkout, and in your order details on the confirmation page you reach right after checkout. Keep both — the confirmation page link stays valid. Some products are delivered as an image of the code rather than as text; in that case the code is on the order page.
Nothing has arrived. What should I do?
Check the spam and promotions folders first, then the order confirmation page. If the order still shows as waiting for payment after you paid, send us the order number and provider transaction reference. If the payment was confirmed and there is still no key, write to us with the order number: a paid order always ends in a key or a refund.
Is there a delivery charge?
No. Everything is digital, so there is no shipping fee, no courier and no customs. See Shipping & Delivery.
Ordering and accounts
Do I need an account to buy?
No. Guest checkout remains available and asks only for your first name, last name and email address. After ordering, you can sign in with the same email to keep your orders and keys together; the account is optional and does not add a step to checkout. Check the email carefully before confirming because that is where the key is sent.
Why does checkout not ask for my address?
Because nothing is shipped. A digital code needs an email address, not a postcode, so we do not ask for one.
Why is my order “On hold” or “Pending payment”?
The order has been received but no successful payment confirmation has reached us yet. Complete the selected method on PayOp’s hosted page. You are emailed when payment is confirmed and again when the key is ready. How to Buy walks through the whole sequence.
Can I buy several products in one order?
Yes. Add as many items to the cart as you like and check out once; each key is issued separately and all of them appear in the same order.
Activation and problems
How do I activate my key?
Redeem it on the platform it was issued for: in the Steam client, on the Xbox or Microsoft redeem page, in the PlayStation Store, in the Nintendo eShop, in Ubisoft Connect, the EA app, GOG, Epic Games and so on. The Activation Guide has step-by-step instructions for each, and many product pages carry a How to activate tab written for that specific item.
My key does not work. What now?
First check you are redeeming it on the right platform and that you pasted the whole code. If the platform says the code is invalid, blocked in your region, or already used, write to us with the order number, the platform and a screenshot of the exact error message. A code that turns out not to be usable is replaced or refunded — see the Refund Policy.
Can I get a refund?
If a code did not work or never arrived, yes — you get a working replacement or your money back, returned the way you paid. What cannot be refunded is a code that has already been revealed and successfully redeemed, because at that point it is permanently attached to your platform account and cannot be returned to stock. The same applies to a code redeemed on the wrong account or in the wrong region after the region was stated on the product page. The full rules are in the Refund Policy.
I bought the wrong thing — a DLC instead of the game, or the wrong platform.
Write to us before you redeem it. While a code is unredeemed there is something we can do; once it has been accepted by a platform there is not. This is why the pre-purchase checklist is worth thirty seconds.
Getting help
How do I reach a human?
By email — the address and what to include are on the Contact page. If you have placed an order, sign in with the same email to open LiveChat. Include your order number, the platform and a screenshot of any error.
Something on the site looks wrong or out of date.
Tell us. Prices, stock and product details come from our supplier network and change often, and we would rather hear about a listing that looks wrong than have someone buy it.
