Careers
We have no open positions listed right now. We are a small team, we hire rarely, and when we do it is usually because a job has been quietly eating someone’s week for a month. This page is here so that when that moment comes, we have somewhere to look first.
How hiring works here
There is no rolling recruitment pipeline and no graduate intake. A role opens when the work exists. That means a speculative message can be better timed than an application to a job ad, because it lands before the ad is written.
We will not string you along. If we have nothing, we will say we have nothing.
The kinds of work that come up
Not vacancies — just an honest picture of what running this store takes:
- Customer support in English, and in other languages our buyers actually write in.
- Web development around WordPress, WooCommerce and the API our catalogue runs on.
- Content: product copy, guides, and the kind of writing that answers a question instead of decorating a page.
- Operations — orders, supply, payments, the unglamorous middle of a shop.
If you want to write to us anyway
Please do, and keep it short. What we read:
- What you do, in your own words rather than a job title.
- Something you have actually made or fixed, with a link if there is one.
- Where you are and whether you are looking for full-time, part-time or contract work.
A covering letter that has been sent to forty companies is easy to spot and does not help you. One paragraph about why this shop in particular does.
Where to send it
Use the Contact page and put “careers” in your message so it does not sit behind the order queue. We keep speculative applications on file and we come back to them when something opens.
