Mary Skelter 2 is a dungeon-crawling RPG that continues the dark fairy-tale story of survivors trapped inside a living, sentient prison called the Jail. Players lead a party of "Blood Maidens," heroines inspired by classic fairy-tale characters, as they fight monstrous Nightmares and search for a way out.

Exploration takes place through first-person dungeon corridors filled with traps and hidden paths, while battles use turn-based combat built around managing each Maiden's blood-fueled transformations. Its gothic art style and grim tone set it apart from lighter dungeon crawlers.
