Valfaris Mecha Therion is a spin-off set in the same brutal, heavy-metal universe as Valfaris. Returning hero Therion takes control of a heavily armed mech suit in a side-scrolling shoot-em-up packed with enemy waves and huge bosses.

Players juggle several weapon types, including a close-range melee option, and switch between them to tear through each stage. The dark, over-the-top art style and pounding soundtrack carry over from its predecessor in a faster, more arcade-focused format.
