Danganronpa 2x2 is a remake of Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair, the visual novel mystery in which a class of students is trapped on a tropical island and forced into a killing game. Alongside the original story, it offers a new scenario that reuses the same cast and setting with different cases.

Players investigate murders, gather evidence, and argue their case in fast-paced trial sequences. It's built around the same mix of mystery, humor, and tension the series is known for.
