R Type Tactics 1 and 2 Cosmos is a remake of the two R-Type Tactics games, turning the classic side-scrolling shoot-'em-up series into turn-based strategy. Developed by Granzella, it lets players command fleets of R-Type ships in grid-based battles.

Players move units, manage fuel and ammunition and use the Force and other iconic weapons to outmaneuver the Bydo. Both campaigns are included, and the remake adds modern visuals and quality-of-life improvements to the classic strategic battles.
